夏期短期海外研修（AUS）第2回事前学習を行いました！
第2回事前学習会を行いました。今回は「日本文化」をテーマに、だるまの折り紙作りに挑戦しました。留学先でホストファミリーと一緒に折り紙を楽しみ、日本文化に触れてもらうきっかけになればと思います。
活動の中では、ホストファミリーに折り方を説明する際に使える英語表現についても学びました。また、だるまの中央には、それぞれが留学中に達成したい目標を表す漢字一文字を書き込みました。自分が選んだ漢字の意味や込めた思いを英語で説明できるようになることも目標の一つです。
今後も留学先での実践を意識しながら、英語で自分の考えや日本文化を伝える力を身に付けていきます。
On, June 8th, students participated in the second pre-departure study session for the Summer International Experience. The theme was “Introducing Japanese culture”, and students learned how to make an origami daruma.
We hope students will enjoy doing origami with their host families and use it as a way to share Japanese culture during their stay abroad.
During the session, students also learned useful English expressions for explaining how to fold the daruma. In addition, each student wrote a single kanji character in the center of their daruma to represent a goal they hope to achieve while studying abroad.
One of their goals is to be able to explain in English why they chose that kanji and what it means to them. Through future study sessions, students will continue developing the skills needed to share their ideas and Japanese culture in English while abroad.
